I’d like to introduce…

Edward George "Ted" Turner

Edward George Turner, known affectionately to his family and friends as Ted, was a kind hearted, gregarious, right jolly English gent, loved by all who knew him. He was born on the 27th of June 1911 at Blake Cottage, Horn Street in Winslow, Buckinghamshire, where his father was employed as head groom to Mr Gosling of Blake House.

And His Lovely Wife…

There were several Thomas's born in the county that year: two in Maids Morton, and one in Thornborough, towns just a few miles from Marsh Gibbon where Thomas lived at the time of his marriage. Without new evidence, it's impossible to say for sure who Thomas's parents were and where they came from. Incidentally, both of the Thomas Scotts mentioned above were on the 1794 Poll Tax list meaning they were landowners, and both farmed their own land.
