I’d like to introduce…

Edward George "Ted" Turner

Edward George Turner, known affectionately to his family and friends as Ted, was a kind hearted, gregarious, right jolly English gent, loved by all who knew him. He was born on the 27th of June 1911 at Blake Cottage, Horn Street in Winslow, Buckinghamshire, where his father was employed as head groom to Mr Gosling of Blake House.

And His Lovely Wife…

  • Birth  26 Mar 1762  Willoughby, Warwickshire Find all individuals with events at this location  [1
    • His mother never remarried, so he grew up as an only child and spent his whole life in Willoughby. It is generally accepted in the genealogy world that Thomas and his wife fathered the Fisher Row Howkins brothers. The fact that John survived long enough to appear in several censuses has helped substantiate the belief that the brothers came to Oxford from Willoughby.
